Goodwin House Retirement Communities Selected for Ceca Foundation’s Caregiver Award Program
April 16, 2018 – The Ceca Foundation Caregiver Award Program has announced that Goodwin House Incorporated’s two Life Plan Communities have been selected for its Caregiver Award Program. Both Goodwin House Alexandria and Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads have been selected based on their commitment to excellence in senior care. Established in 2013 by the Matthew and Rosemary Lawlor family, the Ceca Foundation serves to celebrate and advance caregiver excellence. The Lawlors were inspired by the exceptional care Matt’s mother enjoyed in her later years, and by what they witnessed as volunteers at care facilities for the physically and developmentally disabled. Ceca’s Caregiver Award Program is designed to recognize, celebrate and reward caregivers who have been selected for their exceptional patient care.
“Goodwin House Incorporated is honored that the Ceca Foundation has selected our two Life Plan Communities for its Caregiver Award Program,” said Kathleen S. Anderson”, president and CEO. “The mission of Ceca aligns to the Goodwin House mission, which is to ‘support, honor and uplift the lives of older adults and the people who care for them’. Congratulations to our dedicated staff members who do work that is noble and compassionate every minute of every day, and who earned this award.”
By celebrating acts of compassion and kindness in healthcare institutions, Ceca reinforces caregiving qualities of empathy, humor, integrity, professionalism, and teamwork.
