The Washington Post Names Goodwin House Incorporated a 2019 Top Washington-Area Workplace

June 24, 2019 – Alexandria, VA – Goodwin House Incorporated (GHI) has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2019 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area, and ranked 7th on the list of organizations receiving a Top Workplace designation. Selection is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection. Of the 347 employers that participated in the survey, fewer than half – 152 – received the designation. This year’s list honors government contractors, law firms, nonprofits, schools and businesses.

Goodwin House Incorporated Selects Senior Living Executive Robert Liebreich as New President and CEO

May 24, 2019 – Alexandria, VA – The Board of Trustees of Goodwin House Incorporated (GHI) is delighted to announce the selection of Robert “Rob” Liebreich as President and Chief Executive Officer to succeed Kathy Anderson, who is retiring after 17 years of extraordinary service. Anderson has led GHI to a place of significant financial and organizational strength and a reputation for excellence and innovation in senior living and care.

Alexandria Receives Official “Dementia Friendly Community” Designation

The Dementia Friendly Alexandria coalition of City of Alexandria agencies, Goodwin House Alexandria and other organizations serving older adults, service providers and local businesses is excited to announce that Alexandria has received official designation from the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging as a Dementia Friendly Community!

Goodwin House Incorporated Hosts Dementia Friendly Community Summits

February 19, 2019 – Alexandria, VA – Goodwin House Incorporated (GHI) is inviting local community partners to participate in summits to discuss the Dementia Friendly American (DFA) movement and how we might bring it to the Northern Virginia region. Two summits will occur in late February, one at each Goodwin House Life Plan Community.
