Older Adult Services Accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation and Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CARF/CCAC) provides accreditation standards for human services facilities including services provided for older adults. CARF/CCAC has rigorous standards to assure that members maintain excellence in operations, financial performance and governance. This accreditation brings high regard. Goodwin House Incorporated was one of the first senior living and care organizations in the United States to earn this accreditation for our Life Plan Communities and we have been re-accredited every five years since 1992. Only 300 communities nationwide choose this rigorous voluntary accreditation.

Goodwin House Alexandria and Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads each undergo a rigorous review process to maintain accreditation by CARF/CCAC. This voluntary accreditation demonstrates that we meet national standards of excellence and maintain communities of the highest quality. Both Goodwin House Alexandria and Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads were recertified in March of 2018!
