The Fellowship Program provides confidential financial assistance to residents who have outlived their resources and to prospective residents of more modest means who seek entrance into one of the Goodwin House communities but need some financial assistance.
Since Goodwin House opened in 1967, no one has ever been asked to leave due to a lack of financial resources. The Foundation fulfills this promise of “Fellowship” through the Goodwin House Foundation Fellowship Program. Thus far this year, the Foundation has provided $525,000 in Fellowship support. We anticipate that number could increase to as much as $650,000 before the end of this fiscal year (September 30, 2018). In the past, we have provided as much as $1,200,000 in Fellowship support to residents within a one-year period. In 2019, the Foundation will celebrate its 30th anniversary. We are eager to expand our collaborations and network to allow more community members to participate in our Fellowship program. The Foundation is fully committed to engaging residents, members, partners, staff, families and volunteers to provide an opportunity for vibrant living.
