Dining Options at Bailey’s Crossroads

Most people would agree that if you aren’t eating good food, you aren’t living your best life. Fond memories and lifelong friendships can be forged over a tasty meal, a cuppa tea or a glass of wine, and a good diet is the foundation of a healthy lifestyle. That’s why dining is so important to us at Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads. Residents have high expectations, and when they tell us something is delicious, it makes our day.

Diverse Team, Diverse Options

Our executive chef leads a team of more than 40 cooks, who come from 16 different countries, including Algeria, Cambodia, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Morocco, the Philippines, Thailand and the U.S. That cultural diversity is one of our kitchen’s greatest strengths. It’s why our beef tacos, bang bang chicken and falafel wraps not only look and taste great but honor the culinary traditions of where the dishes originated. For residents, it’s a chance to try exciting new dishes or an opportunity to be reminded of countries they have visited and memorable meals they have enjoyed.

Of course, just as there’s no place like home, there’s nothing like homestyle cooking. So in addition to our worldly fare, you’ll find familiar dishes are prominent on our menus. From grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup to baked chicken and mashed potatoes, and from Caesar salad to pumpkin pie and bread pudding, you’ll find plenty of comfort foods. And with full salad bars in all our venues, there are countless ways to customize your meals.

Thanks to the skill of our chefs and the know-how of our registered dietitian, there are no trade-offs between flavor and healthfulness. Gluten-free, no sugar added and low-sodium dishes are among the options for those with specific dietary needs.

Beautiful Dining Rooms

Where do you want to go for dinner? Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads offers options. It can be a tricky decision, with a choice of three distinctive but equally tempting venues:

  • Jefferson Dining Room: An elegant, formal venue invites you to take your time and enjoy full-service from our friendly team. Available for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, we offer three-course menus that change with the seasons.
  • Fireside: A contemporary-styled eatery with tables set around an inviting gray stone fireplace. Residents can also enjoy full service as they dine on à la carte and made-to-order specialties. Crowd-pleasing favorites include pizza (including gluten-free crust options) and pasta dishes.
  • The Bistro: This casual venue features partial service, as well as outdoor seating (weather permitting). Place your order, get a number, grab a table and staff will deliver your made-to-order dishes ranging from deli sandwiches, hot dogs and hamburgers to specialty salads, daily specials and grilled salmon, any of which might pair nicely with our delicious sweet potato fries.
