Employee-SupportEmployee Programs

With support from the Goodwin House Foundation, the Goodwin House family takes care of our colleagues and their families. We encourage our employees to expand their horizons through education and also offer them financial aid in times of need.

Support Their Future

You can support these programs and more through a donation to the Goodwin House Foundation. All gifts are fully tax-deductible under IRS regulations and may provide additional donor tax advantages.

Educational Programs

Educational Programs

Continued education for Goodwin House employees allows us to provide residents with the highest standard of care and quality of life possible. Thanks to generous support from donors, we are able to offer tuition assistance to staff members who seek to advance their studies. We also offer grants to help cover the costs of non-tuition related expenses such as textbooks, uniforms, parking and childcare.

Financial Emergency Support

Financial Emergency Support

When we realized the 2008 economic recession created financial burdens for many of our employees, we established a program inspired by the idea of “friends helping friends.” This program aids team members who might experience an emergency such as a house fire, a partner losing their job, or any home situation that presents them with financial challenges.

Citizenship Application Fee Program

Citizenship Application Fee Program

Goodwin House staff come from more than 60 different countries, and one in three members does not yet hold U.S. Citizenship. The cost to apply is $725, which can be a large sum for someone who’s just starting out or supporting a family. Started in 2018, our Citizenship Application Fee program has already supported more than 25 staff by providing a grant that covers the full cost to apply. Citizenship brings a sense of belonging as well as a sense of security, and we hope to provide that to our staff with more than just a steady job.

Hear From Our Administrator

“I have chosen to give to the Foundation because Goodwin House is a family. I specifically give to the Staff Funds because I believe in the employees. They are incredibly people from all over the world who have overcome so many difficulties. I have seen the Foundation help provide education to many who report to me who are single mothers, first-generation college students and individuals trying to better their family situation. I am grateful the Foundation empowers Goodwin House employees to follow the principle: Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.”
— Josh Bagley, Administrator & Guide of the Small House Health Care Center
